The college is implementing The Mentorship Program for each student to help them reach their maximum capabilities.

Objective

  • To ensure a holistic approach in encouraging the students to excel in the academic & non-academic growth.
  • To inculcate discipline within the students.

Responsibilities Of A Mentor

  • 1. Willing to spend time

  • 6. Inspiring and positive attitude
    • Conduct an orientation meeting with group of mentees
    • Select representative for the group
    • Collect data from the mentees relating to personal, communication, parents’ educational status, aims and goals etc.
    • Maintain academic track (backlogs) of the student from the beginning of semester-I
    • Record of submission of assignments.
    • Identify drop outs and maintain records
    • Track the attendance record, list irregular students, and provide counselling
    • Meet twice in a month and record the same as review report
    • Identify slow learners and guide them to overcome weaknesses.
    • Provide counselling regarding organisational responsibilities like maintaining discipline, respect towards staff members, in-time payment of college and examination fee etc.
    • Encourage students to visit library frequently.
    • Refer distressed and disturbed cases to the higher authorities.
